BIO

Carmen Barrientos, is a Canadian educated professional fluent in English, Spanish, and advanced French. She holds a Master Certificate in Project Management, a Masters of Public Health, and a degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. 

With over 23 years in the workforce, at a local and international level, she has developed a diverse set of skills, experience and knowledge.

 

In the last 12 years Carmen has focused on sustainable program development, research, expert advising, and project management in different subject areas, such as child rights, indigenous rights, gender equality, climate change, emergency programming, mental health, food security, education, and public health (including prenatal care, FASD, child health, immunization, and climate change). Her background in public health has allowed her to continue to push to learn about different subject areas and the effects on all living beings. 

 

 Looking forward, she pictures working together to create an equal opportunity environment, full of innovation and new ideas, in harmony with all living beings, that will help address  many of the current gaps in our way of being and doing,
